Our Teachers

Pilates Mod Bod Studio has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and friendly, caring staffs that are passionate about Pilates and dedicated to preserving the integrity of the Pilates method. We are committed to bringing you the highest level of excellence in our instructors. All teachers are certified by Romana's Pilates, which is the most distinguished and rigorous program in the Pilates field. Romana Kryzanowska is the protege of Joseph Pilates, and was entrusted with preserving and promoting his lifework. All instructors renew and refresh their commitment to the work through continuing education seminars. Jacki Garland is a level III instructor with Romana's Pilates, enabling her to train new teachers in the method.

JACKI GARLAND started her Broadway career at 19 as a semi-soloist with Zizi; she later toured with the company in South Africa. Her first T.V. appearance was dancing with Tom Jones in his debut in the United States on the Ed Sullivan Show. She worked with many celebrities during her career like Jerry Orbach in Promises, Ann miller in Anything Goes, Angela Landsbury, Ginger Rogers, and John Lithcow. Her last Broadway experience was A Chorus Line, contributing to the story line in all night talk and dance sessions with Michael Bennet and performing the role of Christine in California at age 40. Her second career in Pilates began shortly after in 1986 in New York City becoming an apprentice to Romana Kryzanowska. In 1997 Jacki was brought down to Orlando, Florida by Orlando Regional Rehabilitation Services to direct the Pilates program for the performing artists. Her daughters joined her in 2000 opening their own studio in Southwest Orlando. They moved to their new location in Winter Park in 2004. Jacki is passionate about Pilates and loves keeping people healthy and fit. Further, she enjoys being a Level III teacher where she can train other teachers, and like Romana is dedicated to keeping it Pilates pure.

JESSICA GAZZOLA grew up in NYC where she had the privilege of being a student of Romana Kryzanowska at an early age. Romana started a small ballet class for her granddaughter Daria Pace, of which Jessica was a student. Pilates principles and moves were incorporated in the class. Jessica began her training in Pilates in 1997 and received her certification in 1999. Further, she completed her BA in Anthropology from Rollins College, graduating Summa cum Laude. In 2006, she graduated Summa cum laude from Florida College of Integrative Medicine with a Masters in Oriental Medicine. Jessica loves teaching Pilates and being a part of a family business.

SAMANTHA GAZZOLA grew up in New York and had the privilege of studying ballet with Romana Kryzanowska, the Master Teacher of Pilates, alongside her granddaughter Daria Pace, in a very special class. She crashed the class at 2 and was allowed to stay as long as she kept her focus. She began her training in Pilates in 1997 and received her certification in 1999. She graduated Summa cum laude from Rollins College in 2002 with a BA in Psychology. In 2006, she graduated Summa cum laude from Florida College of Integrative Medicine with a Masters in Oriental Medicine. Samantha loves teaching Pilates and integrating it with Oriental Medicine to provide participants with total body wellness.

Jessica and Samantha have also both been practicing Acupuncture Physicians since 2006. Acupuncture allows them to have an even greater impact on peoples health and well-being. It is an excellent compliment to Pilates. It too, is holistic and can transform the state of dis-easeinto health & ease. Conditions treated include pain, stress releif, headaches, GI disorders, infertility, acupunture facelifts and much more.
